PO-05-090 LOCAL IMPEDANCE AND CONTACT FORCE FOR EFFECTIVE ABLATION OF PREMATURE VENTRICULAR CONTRACTIONS

چکیده
Contact force (CF) radiofrequency (RF) catheter ablation is a well-established approach to treating idiopathic premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) from the outflow tracts (OTs), and associated with favorable outcomes, albeit up 30% recurrence rates even in very experienced hands. How addition of local impedance (LI) feature may improve procedural outcome unknown. We aimed study whether use combining LI CF information was superior outcomes compared other technologies. three groups 40 propensity-matched patients PVCs OTs, ablated by means different technologies: CF- plus LI-featured catheter, an standard irrigated catheter. The created matching displayed no significant difference baseline clinical variables. Median age 56[40-63] years 54% female. Prior ablation, median LVEF 57[43-63] % daily PVC burden 22[14-29] %. sites successful were well balanced among 3 groups, 77 (64%) localized right tract (RVOT), 24 (20%) coronary cusps, 19 (16%) left excluding cusps (LVOT). CF+LI group significantly lower risk than (HR, 0.22; 95%CI, 0.07-0.71; p=0.01). In group, drop RF time only predictors lesions (OR=1.19, CI: 1.13–1.26, p<0.001; OR=1.06 1.01-1.07, p=0.044, respectively). unlike RVOT/LVOT region, not (p=0.48), duration showed linear relationship (p<0.001). most important predictor effective lesions. catheters that combine increased success OTs.

[Ablation of premature ventricular contractions originating in the right ventricular outflow tract using non-contact mapping].
Premature ventricular contractions originating in the right ventricular outflow tract may respond poorly to pharmacological treatment, and ablation using conventional fluoroscopically-guided systems may be complicated by the difficulty in inducing arrhythmias. We describe the use of a non-contact mapping system to ablate difficult-to-induce premature ventricular contractions originating in the ...

BACKGROUND Idiopathic premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) and ventricular tachycardias (IVTs) originating from the subtricuspid septum and near the His bundle have been reported. However, little is known about the prevalence, distribution, electrocardiographic characteristics and the efficacy of radiofrequency catheter ablation (RFCA) for the ventricular arrhythmias arising from the right...

She presented 24 hours earlier to the emergency department after an all-terrain vehicle accident in which she sustained multiple injuries to her head, neck, torso, abdomen, and limbs. ECG PUZZLER A regular feature of the American Journal of Critical Care, the ECG Puzzle...
متن کاملFrequent premature ventricular contractions.
Premature ventricular contractions (PVCs) are considered normal in many circumstances but can act as markers to other cardiac disease such as cardiomyopathy and ischemic heart disease. This case is presented to illustrate frequent PVCs as a marker for serious heart disease.
